To browse books in the library's collection, try looking for books that start with these call numbers:

  • HQ for sexuality and gay rights topics from a sociological perspective
  • KF for legal Issues related to the LGBT community
  • BF for the psychology of sexuality and gender
  • PN for literature dealing with sexuality and gender

*All of these call numbers will be located on lower-level 1 of McNairy Library.

    Provides issue maps and fact sheets that provide useful statistics and topic overviews from the research and reports page.
  • Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network
    The nation's largest LGBTQ education organization that links to resources that are working to end bullying of LGBT students in K-12 schools.

    Provides resources for implementation strategies for crisis intervention and suicide prevention regarding LGBTQIA youth.
  • Out History
    OutHistory tells stories about the queer past, about people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. It uncovers histories of same-gender love and of gender crossing in the recent and distant past.
