  • SciFinder ( First Time User; Create your personal SciFinder account)
    SciFinder can search for chemical substances, reactions, patents, and/or journal articles. It includes Chemical Abstracts (in the CAplus database) and allows searching by chemical structure.

    You need to use your university e-mail account when creating your SciFinder account.

    Includes over 400 chemistry journals and covers a broad-range of other subjects. Search for your topic and then narrow your search using the tools on the left.
  • American Chemical Society Publications
    Full-text coverage of over 30 journals and magazines published by the American Chemical Society (ACS), including current issues, full archives of each journal, and pre-publication articles called ASAP Articles.
  • Royal Society of Chemistry
    Contains articles/abstracts from over 30 journals published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Search for your topic or browse journals by title. Use Request It for journals that we don’t subscribe to.
  • Science.gov
    Search the gateway to authoritative selected science information provided by U.S. government agencies, including research and development results.
  • ScienceDirect
    Database containing thousands of journals/abstracts related to chemistry. Search for your topic or browse journals by title. Use Request It for journals that we don’t subscribe to.

  • NIST Chemistry Webbook
    Provides thermochemical, thermophysical, and ion energetics data compiled by NIST under the Standard Reference Data Program.
  • ChemIDplus
    Chemical information from the United States National Library of Medicine. Includes over 370,000 chemicals, synonyms, structures, regulatory list information, and links to other databases.
  • Merck Index
    Contains comprehensive information on tens of thousands chemicals, drugs and biological agents. Includes books and supplemental tables.
  • TOXNET
    Databases on toxicology, hazardous chemicals, environmental health, and toxic releases.
