Library Mission Statement

Through an open intellectual environment, the Millersville University Library promotes the University's strategic directions of nurturing a passion for learning, fostering an appreciation for the liberal arts, and cultivating a community of diverse people, thoughts and perspectives. In support of the academic programs of Millersville University, we provide leadership in the discovery, access, use, and evaluation of information. Establishing connections among people, and between people and ideas, we provide faculty, students, staff, and the broader community with information in many subject areas. In concert with collaborative partnerships, we build, organize, maintain and preserve collections of information integral to the University's mission. By instructing and encouraging, we engage the community in the discovery and creation of knowledge, and build a community of lifelong learners.
