Fines and Replacements

Overdue fines and other charges may be assessed for library materials not returned on time (see chart below).

Fines for overdue items are not refundable. Payment of fines and fees can be made in person at the Circulation Desk (check or money order payable to Millersville University or via Millersville University Gold) or via post (check or money order, do not send cash: Access Services, Millersville University Library, P.O. Box 1002, Millersville, PA 17551-0302)

Lost or Damaged Items: If items are lost or damaged, including any DVD or video overdue for 7 days or item overdue for 30 days, you will be charged a replacement fee (varies) and a processing fee ($12 per item). If you find the item in acceptable condition within one year, you may request a refund for the replacement fee only. You are responsible for all items borrowed or requested via your library account.

Suspension of Privileges: The privilege to borrow library items or use Request It will be revoked if outstanding library fines and fees equal or exceed $25.00.

General borrowing and Request It privileges will be reinstated when all items are returned and appropriate fees are paid. Questions or comments can be directed to library.circulation@millersville.edu or 717-872-3612.
